  • Our trip to the Smokies in October

    Our second trip of the year to the Smokies and the colors we close to perfect in parts of the park. Even with the government shutdown, Friends of the Smokies was keeping the park open with their funds.

    It was a great trip and even though we saw no bears this trip the colors made up for their shyness.

  • Fuji Colors are easy on the soul

    I switched from Canon to Fuji in 2016 and since that time I’m still learning how wonderful each of their camera are… but one thing that is the same for each camera is the way Fuji handles the color produced by their cameras.

  • Jack’s Dog Quilt

    Gerri created a quilt of dogs for Jack. The two in the middle of the quilt is our dogs Dempsey (a Brittany) and Jonah (a Havanese). Teh project took a lot of work but turned out great.

    this barn sits in a field just before you get to our local dog groomers shop. I shot it with my Fuji X-T2 that has been converted to IR.

    Missed the opening night of STAND, but was able to capture a few images from Sunday’s service.

  • Grain should often be embraced

    Removing noise which is digital grain from images is done on almost every image you see online. There are software packages dedicated to removing noice…but when you are trying to replicate a film stock…like I am here with a Fuji X Weekly receipe for Kodak Tri-X you want the grain.
